Woody Allen is already currently at work on his next project titled “Magic In The Moonlight”. Though plot details were not revealed, a photo of Marcia and Emma on set in old-fashioned clothing with vintage cars in the background indicate that it will be a period piece.

After the disappointing GHOSTBUSTERS 2 followed one of the most popular films of the early 80?s the GHOSTBUSTERS franchise has been left in a state of limbo, with the only legitimate development being the two animated Television series’ that were released shortly after the first and second films.

A third film in the franchise has been teased for a long time by former Ghostbuster Dan Aykroyd with Sony seemingly eager for the original team to once again put on the iconic proton packs. The only hurdle has been Bill Murray’s involvement, after a long back and fourth between Aykroyd, Sony and the general public it has become very clear Mr Murray has no desire whatsoever to reprise his role as Peter Venkman. Now it seems that Sony is finally ready to press ahead with long stalled GHOSTBUSTERS 3 without Bill Murray, as a new rumour claims that offers have been made to two of the most highly talented and demanded young actors in Hollywood.

Jonah Hill (21 JUMP STREET) and Emma Stone (THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN) have both been offered roles in the upcoming sequel, if they accept then they will play the parts of Jeremy and Anna. Who Jeremy and Anna are is unclear at the moment but it’s safe to assume they would be part of a new younger generation of Ghostbusters possibly even children of the original members. It’s to early to get excited yet but we can certainly be cautiously optimistic that GHOSTBUSTERS 3 is inching ever closer to getting the greenlight from Sony. The possible involvement of these two actors is definitely an exciting prospect after losing leading actor Bill Murray and it would be great to see them work together again after the brilliant SUPERBAD.

While we have to wait to get our first look at “The Amazing Spider-Man 2″, a new still has surfaced showing Gwen and Peter.

Emma is #6 on Empire’s 100 Sexiest Movie Stars poll, and here’s what they have to say about her:

6. EMMA STONE
Not every young actress can combine looks with actual funniness, but Emma Stone is genuinely witty both on and off screen. Admirably centred in her career and personal life, she’s gorgeous and gregarious but also capable of bring thoughtful in the likes of “Crazy, Stupid, Love”. She can even battle the undead, as she showed in “Zombieland“, so she’s the first person we want around in the event of a zombie apocalypse.

SEXIEST ROLE
Her Gwen Stacy won over “Spider-Man” (and, in real-life, Andrew Garfield), but her ballsy, whip-smart high schooler Olive in “Easy A” was the perfect role.

STROKE OF CHARM
No one is safe from her photo bombing. Not even her boyfriend.

Spreading positivity on her daytime talk show for about a decade has made her a household name, and now, Ellen DeGeneres has been named the most likeable woman in Hollywood.

According to an iHeartRadio survey, the affable host earned a whopping 35.1% of the vote, trouncing Jennifer Lawrence at #2 (17.7%) and Emma Stone at #3 (13.4%).

Following the friendly ladies were Jennifer Hudson, Natalie Portman, Zooey Deschanel, and Anna Kendrick.

As soon as DreamWorks Animation’s caveman cartoon The Croods hit theaters and earned over $44 million in its opening weekend, there was no doubt a sequel was inevitable. There were no guarantees that the film’s principal cast would be coming back to reprise their roles, but it was hard to imagine any circumstances that would have to happen to prevent them. In an interview with directors Chris Sanders and Kirk DeMicco, Coming Soon has confirmed that Nicolas Cage, Emma Stone and Ryan Reynolds will indeed be coming back for the second flick, tentatively called The Croods 2. Still not as good as getting Cage to play an actual caveman in a live-action film, but it’s probably the closest we’ll get.

Still in a few dozen theaters here in the States, The Croods is the ninth most profitable movie of 2013 so far, earning over $187 million domestically, with a worldwide total of over $585 million. The film wasn’t great in quality terms, but it was better than Turbo and beat the diminishing returns of the Madagascar series – to me at least. For anyone thinking a Croods sequel could just write itself, however, Sanders’ words aren’t exactly encouraging.

Said the director, “There’s not much to talk about yet because we’ve got a big lump of clay and we’re forming it as we speak.” They do have plans to fill the world with some ideas that went unused in the first one. “[There will be] lots of good creatures,” confirms DeMicco. “We’ve got creatures that never got into the first movie. We’re going to take a very, very close look at those.” Hot damn! Creatures!

There’s no word just yet on the return of the supporting cast, which included Catherine Keener, Clark Duke and Cloris Leachman, but I can’t imagine they’d all turn down this fairly easy paycheck. I still don’t understand why Clark Duke’s comedic gifts aren’t being used in every other movie at this point in his career, but every film counts, I guess.

Currently filming Vic Amrstrong’s readaptation of Left Behind, Cage will soon be seen in what will hopefully be a late-career-high role in David Gordon Green’s Joe. Reynolds was recently seen (or more accurately not seen) in the box office tanker R.I.P.D. as well as the aforementioned Turbo, but his next film, the comedy horror The Voices sounds pretty amazing. Stone will be returning to the role of Gwen Stacey in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 for Marc Webb, and I can’t wait to see her in Alejandro González Iñárritu’s ensemble comedy Birdman next year.
