Emma graced the cover of Fairlady magazine’s September 2013 issue. While striking a few gorgeous poses for the spread, the “Easy A” hottie dished about her childhood and even reveals why she loves comedies.
Check out a few highlights from Miss Stone’s interview below. For more, be sure to visit Fairlady!
On taking comedic roles:
“I would much rather be seen as funny than sexy. And I love watching comedies. When I was growing up, I fell in love with the old ‘Saturday Night Live’ shows and I was inspired by people like Steve Martin, Gilda Radner, Bill Murray, and John Candy. They were real trailblazers for me.”
“My mother started taking me to acting classes because she thought it would help me focus my energies. I was this really anxious kid in grad school. I had my first panic attack when I was eight years old. I don’t know why, but as a kid I worried about things like our house burning down, and I’d wring my hands all the time. So my parents took me to a therapist. While I was figuring things out, something happened where I just thought, okay, all right, I want to act.”
On living the Hollywood lifestyle:
“Sometimes it’s hard to adjust to all the traveling and being away so much. You go into this microcosm of people and you get really close and then you leave and you never really see them again. And then you go somewhere else and do it all over again. It’s like one summer camp after another, without ever going home in between.”
Emma graces another May cover, this time for Cosmopolitan France, enjoy the HQ scans I got.
Thanks to fashionscansremastered.net we’ve got HQ scans of May issue of Maria Claire Australia. Enjoy them.
A lot of the news lately about The Amazing Spider-Man 2 has been mostly about stars Andrew Garfield and Shailene Woodley, so what about Emma Stone? The actress spoke to Cineplex Magazine about the upcoming sequel and praised the film’s script.
“I’m in it, Andrew is in it, they just cast Dane Dehaan as Harry Osborn who is such a great actor. And Shailene Woodleyas Mary Jane, who’s also wonderful. So there’s all that and the script is very, very good. I’m very much looking forward to it.
“I’m very happy that our first one was received so well, it’ll be cool in the next one to see how Gwen and Peter bridge that distance that was between us at the end of it. I think the way it all unfolds is pretty neat. And I hope they continue letting Gwen be heroic, I think they might!”
We’ve yet to see any set photos of Stone on the set of the film, here’s hoping that changes soon.
In The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield) finds, life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can’t come quickly enough. Peter hasn’t forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away – but that’s a promise he just can’t keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.
Also starring Shailene Woodley, Colm Feore, Sally Field and Chris Cooper, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 hits theaters May 2, 2014.
